Bread Pudding (Easy and Delicious)

  • 12 slices of white toasted bread cut in small squares
  • 8 beaten eggs
  • 1/2 C. melted butter
  • 3 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 C. Sugar
  • 6 C. milk
  • Cinnamon
  • Nutmeg

1. Mix all ingredients together
2. Pour cut up toast into a greased casserole pan
3. Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg
4. Bake in greased casserole 1 hour at 350

Sauce: 
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup firmly packèd brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup hèavy whipping crèam
  • 1 tablèspoon vanilla
  • Combinè all saucè ingrèdiènts èxcèpt vanilla in 1-quart saucèpan. Cook ovèr mèdium hèat, stirring occasionally until mixturè thickèns and comès to a full boil, about 5 to 8 minutès. Stir in vanilla.
  • To sèrvè, spoon warm pudding into individual dèssèrt dishès; sèrvè with saucè. Storè any lèftovèrs in thè refrigerator.


Tastes great warm or cold
*Optional: top with whip cream

Note: This is a wonderful solution to a last minute desert. Who doesn't have milk, eggs, bread and butter in the kitchen almost all of the time?
